The aim, what we provided & the end result
This former agricultural portal frame building was brought to us by a client, who wanted it to be beautifully transformed into an exquisite, architecturally designed barn conversion in the rural setting of Oakhanger, Cheshire. Our brief was to create a contemporary, spacious family home, taking advantage of the breathtaking countryside views.
We designed this with a jaw dropping open plan living-kitchen-dining room, with its glass & oak balustrade landing looking down from above. The aim, to make this the hub of the home, with space for plenty to cook, dine, and relax. All this looking out through the two large bi fold opening doors and onto the garden. The project included a utility, a great sized snug, a separate family room and also a study/office. It really does have everything the modern family needs. An open staircase provides access to the four double bedrooms, which all have access to a bathroom and two jack & jill ensuites. The master bedroom has own ensuite with freestanding bath and separate double walk-in shower and a dressing room, with countryside views through the bifold doors with Juliet balconies. This really was a dream project to work on.
