We have never engaged with an architect before, but it’s hard to imagine we could have found a better firm to deal with than Daniel Matthias Architecture. From the very first meeting, we knew we were in safe hands. Daniel delivered the initial designs rapidly and accurately. Changes to our requirements were handled promptly, professionally, and with fastidious attention to detail. Daniel and his team were on-hand to help with the selection of a contractor, and maintained a helpful and proactive presence throughout the project, ensuring it was brought to a successful conclusion and that any issues were resolved rapidly and to our complete satisfaction.DMA’s many awards speak for themselves, but what they don’t reveal is the personal warmth and assuredness that the entire team brought to our project, which helped engender a sense of security and comfort that made what could have been a daunting prospect a much more enjoyable and satisfying experience.We would recommend DMA unconditionally – they have been a delight to work with.

We only had a vague idea of what we wanted to achieve from our project. Daniel listened carefully to our thoughts and created a wonderful solution. The whole process was competently completed, with very little stress for us. We now have a home of which we are very proud!

Daniel and his team were brilliant, he had some great ideas and really helped us reimagine our home, from a dated 1950’s house to a modern 4 bed home.

From start to finsh a very pleasant and stress free experience. Helen dealt with my application and was very patient with me as i changed the layout. Also helped me when it came to form filling so covered every aspect of the application. I can highly recommend them as i felt they offered the personal touch an went the extra mile. Daniel Matthias was referred to us by a prospective builder, to do the drawings for our '80s rear extension remodel.We'd talked to a couple of other architects before meeting Daniel to discuss the project, but as soon as we met Daniel at the initial site viewing we knew we'd found the right practice for us. First impressions were how friendly and professional he was, taking much more time to understand our requirements and making alternate suggestions, despite our project only being relatively modest. Daniel also explained the various stages of the process in detail.We've just received the stage 2 Concept drawings from Daniels colleague Helen (who was equally friendly, professional and understanding of our requirements), slightly ahead of schedule despite it fast approaching the festive break.We're now excited to progress the project through to completion with DMA in the New Year.His colleague was the architect for our work and she did an excellent job considering the amount of changes we asked for.

If like us, you've never had to use an architect before I totally recommend this company. They're really good people. Very straightforward, laid out the schedule of what we could expect and their cost right from the begining.

Daniel listened to our initial thoughts and ideas for the Orangery. He then proposed some ideas, which enhanced our original vision. Then, using his design expertise, he has turned the vision into reality. The Orangery is a superb space that can be used throughout the year. The space is flooded with natural light, from the bifold doors, the large window and the two rooflights. We originally planned to have one roof latern, but are so glad we took on board the proposal from Daniel to have 2 rooflights. Daniel dealt with all of the planning stage, providing all the necessary information for the Orangery to secure approval by planning. He also appointed a building inspector to ensure the Construction was in accordance with the design and therefore compliant with the building regulations. Daniel is totally professional, was so easy to work with, and his design was meticulous in its detail, which greatly assisted the Contractor during the construction phase. I fully recommend Daniel for any architectural work you may be considering.

We reached out to Dan to help shape up our thoughts for an extension and modernisation to our bungalow. His extension idea pushed our thinking and challenged us to contemplate a more cutting edge design whilst still delivering the practicality we wanted.Friendly approach and support.

We were introduced to Daniel and his team by our planning consultant. Daniel went out of his way to help us, very quickly, create some rough plans for a pre-app. Once we were in a position to make a full planning application we went with Daniel again as he'd helped us out previously, this was absolutely the correct decision on our part.We had a good idea of how we wanted our self-build to look and Daniel took all of this on board. He turned our poor sketches and pipe dreams into a workable home that flows perfectly.There is always a risk working with someone for the first time, my advice to anyone considering using his services is 'take the risk, you will not be disappointed'.Thank you to Daniel and his team
